Islamabad captain Umar Gul on Friday roped in Shahid Afridi during the ongoing draft for the upcoming three week-long National T20 Cup.

The domestic T20 tournament is scheduled to be held from August 25 till September 16. The eight-team tournament will be played in Rawalpindi and Multan.

Umar Gul:

Afridi, who skippered Pakistan in the ICC World T20 earlier this year in India, will play under the captaincy of right-arm fast-bowler Gul.

Pakistan’s Test captain Misbah-ul-Haq, who is currently leading his side against England in England, will don Karachi Whites’ colours.

The 42-year-old, who last played for Pakistan in the shorter format in 2012, will play under the captaincy of Akbur Rehman.
