Qandeel Baloch Murder’s Inquiry Wraps up

Police have completed their investigation in Qandeel Baloch murder case as the accused would be produced before a court after Eid, said District Public Prosecutor, Jam Salah Uddin.

He further alleged that police would oppose the bail claim moved by Abdul Basit and appeal daily hearings. “We want the court to reach a verdict as soon as possible,” qandeel-balochhe said.

Prosecutor also urged police would not challenge the bail application of Zafar, who is another suspect.

Police received mobile phone records of Mufti Abdul Qavi, Haq Nawaz, Waseem and Qandeel Baloch

“Abdul Basit was arrested for driving the killers form Multan to Dera Ghazi Khan. Zafar was suspected of provoking Baloch’s brother to kill her.” Salahuddin specified.

He further added police had received mobile phone records of Mufti Abdul Qavi, Haq Nawaz, Waseem and her. qandeel-qaviShe had sent 10 text messages apologizing to Mufti Abdul Qavi in their last conversation.

He said Arif, her brother who lived in Saudi Arabia, had also called Waseem and urged him to kill her. He said police had sent her mobile phone and iPad to Lahore to obtain more data.

Salahuddin said Qandeel Baloch and Qavi had last talked over the phone on June 22 at 6pm. On the same day, Qandeel Baloch had sent text messages to Qavi. He did not reply at all.

District public prosecutor said Qavi’s call record did not show that he was in contact with Baloch’s relatives. Qavi had told police that Qandeel Baloch had wanted to meet Imran Khan and had sought his help for this purpose.
