Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan completely isolated itself from those people who are living in London including party convener Nadeem Nusrat, Mustafa Azizabadi, Wasay Jalil and Qasim Ali Raza. The MQM-PAK also took decision of barren those from the Rabita Committee.
Earlier, a statement issued by the party said. The decision came following a statement by Nadeem Nusrat who said “the MQM was nothing without Altaf Hussain”, rejecting the so-called “minus-one formula”.
Weeks after the MQM-PAK had disassociated itself from party supremo Altaf Hussain, its London-based senior leader Nadeem Nusrat came up with a clarification, saying Altaf could not be separated from its affairs.
Nusrat’s remarks came weeks after the party’s Pakistan-based leadership distanced itself from Altaf and the London-based Rabita Committee.
The decision was taken in a meeting of the MQM-PAK Rabita (Coordination) Committee presided over by Dr Farooq Sattar at the party’s temporary headquarters. It also mentioned that the membership of those party workers acting against the MQM-Pakistan’ decisions and the policy taken on August 23 will be revoked if they found working contrary to it.
